  • Revival preacher, Rev. Dr. William Curtis, Senior Pastor of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Zechariah 14:7 – God delivers daylight to our nighttime experiences.

  • Sand Lomax – continues to recuperate at home.
  • Our country and its people during this most divisive political season.
  • Tonya Walker Smiley – prayers for her father and the decisions for his care.
  • Donald Anthony Wheeler (my nephew) and his wife – awaiting test results and next steps.
  • All who continue to be impacted by Hurricane Matthew.
  • The family of Don Moore – he transitioned last week after a bout with cancer.
  • Carl and Elwillie Jarrett – on the loss of his brother in California.
  • A friend who has not been feeling well – he is undergoing multiple evaluations.

  • Journi (my great niece) – celebrating her second birthday.
  • Livingstone College homecoming – a great time to reconnect, fellowship, eat good food and win a game.
  • The Sting of White Roses – thanks to the playwright (Angelica Cheri), director, cast, technical crew, stage managers, staff, people who attend the play, and volunteers.
  • Meeting and interviewing Dr James Gavin during homecoming (celebrating his Golden – 50 years).
  • Dale Carnegie Day of Giving – providing a training session for the staff of BBBS in Forsyth and Davie County.

  • Kannapolis African American Museum and Cultural Center (KAA – MaCC) – on their third gala recognizing the history and people of the community.
  • Meloney Miller – MC for the event.
  • A great evening out with friends at the Charleston Harbour Club.
  • Opening of the world premiere of The Sting of White Roses.
  • Book delivery last week to the students at Ephesus Jr. Academy (Sorry We’re Booked book club)

  • Robert Scott (and family) – on the transition of his mother, Flora Scott Bass.

  • Sarah (my wife) – as she begins physical therapy and traction.
  • Former Presiding Elder Wilder – is now at home recuperating from a heart attack.
  • Sylvia Shelton – She found out she had cancer two years ago. She has been cancer free over a year but just found out that a small amount of cancer has returned.
  • Nat Irivn (and his family) – on the transition of his father, Rev. Nat Irvin.
