  • Toured VHVH (Veterans Helping Veterans Heal) – great work going on here
  • Spoke to a group of boys (grades 1-5) in an after school mentor program at Petree Elementary School
  • Cornelious Flood – quick recovery from an injury (not as bad as expected)
  • Thanksgiving – food, fellowship, friendships, being grateful for life.

Please Pray For:

  • Ben Piggott – for his mother who has dementia and is in the care of Hospice.
  • Pray for people who have difficulty during the holiday season (as they grieve for several reasons – remembering a loved one, separation, divorce, life changes, etc)
  • Fil Anderson – for his sister Linda and her husband David who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is awaiting further medical test results before a treatment plan is determined.
  • Nat Irvin – continued recovery for his father.
  • Robert Scott – for his mother who is recovering from a stroke and making progress.
  • Gregory Hairston (and family) – his brother is now fighting an aggressive form of cancer. Continue to keep them in prayer.
  • Continued international cooperation to address the ebola crisis and provide help for all impacted.
  • Continue to remember the girls in Nigeria who remain hostages, and their families.
  • Gloria Woods – her mother was hospitalized due to a fall. She is at the Stitch Center at WF Baptist.
  • Victor Isler – his mother has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and is beginning radiation.

  • Thanks to all who are signed up to help the server at K&W with Christmas gifts for her children (including a church providing food for Thanksgiving). You assistance is appreciated.
  • William Hairston – for his efforts and focus on HBCUs, the NC Living Legends Gala to provide scholarship funds for students attending HBCUs and the 2015 HBCU Living Legend Calendar.
  • 13-week assignment as Interim DSS Director – the new Director starts today (11/17)
  • Cornelious Flood – Our second successful DivorceCare support group seminar ended last Monday with a wonderful dinner, celebration and “Surviving the Holidays” session.

  • Camille Davenport – for her daughter (Bri) who is visiting colleges. Pray that she stays focused, selects the right school for her to thrive, and that money will be provided to pay for her education.
  • A worker (serves people and cleans tables) at K&W we have developed a friendship with (she is 30 years old with 7 children ages 14- 9 months) – she asked for help with items for Christmas. She is requesting mostly educational gifts, toys and clothes for the 14-year old. If anyone is interested in helping, let me know. We plan on helping her. She works hard, smiles and is humble.
