Additional Prayer Request and Update . . .

heal

I just received a note from a friend, Bill Hinman. For months now, his son-in-law has been battling brain cancer. Bill, his family, and especially his daughter, have been in prayer continually, hoping for a miracle. His son-in-law and daughter have a small child (under 2-years old).

A few moments ago, Bill shared the following note: “Wanted to let you know our son-in-law has gone to be with the Lord. Our daughter was right beside him in the final peaceful moments. Thank you for all your prayers and expressions of support.”

Thanks to all who prayed for them previously (they have been on the prayer list in past months), and pray for and with them now.

Also, Deacon Peyton Hairston transitioned on Sunday morning. He was a former educator, community and church leader. Please keep Gregory Hairston (and his family) in prayer as they prepare for his home going celebration on June 12.

From Debora Freeman – Cathy Callaghan is a co-worker/friend whose husband Tom has been hospitalized in ICU. Cathy and Tom are in New York. Tom is back home and facing a battle. I emailed Cathy this morning and told her I woke up with her and Tom on my mind and immediately prayed for them. She said today was his very first ‘positive’ day. That’s encouraging, but please be in prayer for Tom’s healing and Cathy’s strength for the journey. She has been a loving companion and a fierce soldier on his behalf for his patient’s rights.

Pray for my Pastor, Prince Rivers. We have had 10 deaths this year in our church along with all he has to do. We often take for granted what our church leaders do. He is using his gifts to allow others to see God and needs prayer too during this season as well.

Moses Holmes (and his family) on the loss of his sister.

Update on Theresa Lawler’s mother. She is home from the hospital and is doing better but is still have issues. Please continue to pray for her healing.
