  • Brien Cook (brother of Bill Cook) – getting physical therapy and making progress.
  • Brenda Diggs (for her brother) – he is now out of the hospital.
  • Spending time talking to a group of Ashley elementary school students in the Saturday Academy at WFU on Saturday
  • A conversation with a volunteer at Ashley elementary school, Chester David.
  • Shavon Wheeler – a new Delta this weekend.
  • Spring Jubilee Revival at Union Baptist Church – Minister Reggie Sharpe, Jr. preached a powerful message – rethink possible!
  • Livingstone College Gospel Choir as guest at the revival – outstanding.
  • A day in the park with my wife eating lunch on Saturday.
  • Leroy Purdy – He is now at home and continuing to recover. He and his family appreciate your prayers.

  • The NBA controversy over alleged remarks by the Clippers owner.
  • The families of the South Korea Ferry accident and the loss of lives and grief they are experiencing.
  • Florence Corpening and her Sister, Sandra Stinson – on the passing of Mr. Amos Rutherford (100 years old), the step-father.
  • Mel Bennett (and her family) – on the death of her brother, Gregory Berry, last Thursday.
  • Linda Richmond Hill (for her son, Richmond Hill) – he is receiving physical therapy, yet has a long way to go.
  • Authorities searching for the missing Malaysia airplane to bring closure for families.

  • Linda Richmond Hill (for her son, Richmond Hill) – he is in ICU.
  • Leroy Purdy – recent surgery for an aneurysm. He continues to recover in ICU and he and his family appreciate your prayers.

  • Authorities locating the missing Malaysia airplane to bring closure for families.

  • Michelle Cook (for Dietrich Spencer’s sister, Frances Lee) – she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Doctors will begin aggressive treatment next week.
  • John Sigers (for his sister, Elizabeth Fields) – she remains in the hospital.
  • Brien Cook (brother of Bill Cook) – he is out of the hospital and getting physical therapy.
  • The missing Malaysia airplane, its passengers and their families.
  • Pat Farrell – for her husband, Tommy, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
  • Brenda Diggs (for her brother) – he has been hospitalized to determine the origin of his illness

…prayers of petition and intercession are expressions of care, concern, and compassion;
they are not ways to convince or coax a change of God’s will.
Petition and intercession are often thought of as rain dances or ways to strong-arm God…
But prayers of petition and intercession are really ways to express our love and interest in the lives of others.
They also show trust in God’s fiery passion to be in a relationship with us and in God’s loving concern for us.

The range of emotions include anger, disappointment and hurt. Please keep all in prayer during this challenging time that impacts more than the former mayor.
  • Annie McMorris (and her family) – on the death of her son, Jeffrey Ingram.
  • Michelle Cook (for Dietrich Spencer’s sister, Frances Lee) – she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Doctors will begin aggressive treatment next week.
